Traditional hot smoked, hand-cut, large Mackerel fillets smoked in hot kilns over seasoned Oak.

Our smoked mackerel comes from a small smokehouse in Norfolk where they smoke the fish with seasoned English Oak from local forests and wood mills. The mackerel fillets are from large 350g+ fish caught from sustainable stock in the Eastern part of the North Atlantic.

Mackerel is a delicious fish, rich in Omega 3 Oils, which is not degraded in the gentle smoking process where the product never goes over 100 degrees. They make a really good smoked mackerel pate - just break up the fillets with fork and mix with a dollop of creme fraiche, lemon zest, lemon juice and season with salt and pepper.

There are two fillets per pack weighing between 150-200g depending on the size of the fish. The product contains bones, keep refrigerated and use within three days of opening.
