This simple, briny sauce couldn’t be simpler, just BBQ oysters in their own liquor until they pop open, then add a drop of rice wine vinegar and a squirt of lemon juice. It's the perfect complement to the natural flavour of the oysters and is fabulous with a chilled glass of white wine or crisp beer.
INGREDIENTS
- 12 Rock Oysters, shucked
- 3 tablespoons of rice wine vinegar
- 3 lemons cut into quarters
Put the unopened oysters onto the BBQ cup side down.
Once the oysters have opened give them another minute on the grill before carefully removing them.
Take off the top shell drizzle with rice wine vinegar and a squeeze of fresh lemon.
Remember to chew the oysters, it's untrue that you should just swallow them. You don't need to add anything else to the oyster, especially not salt as our oysters are so fresh.
